SDCC15: Diamond Select Toys Star Trek

Much Love For TOS And TNG...

Star Trek is a perennial favorite among collectors, and Diamond Select Toys is always there with cool products for us. They had some super cool sci-fi items on display at Comic-Con 2015, starting with the Next Generation Worf Bust Bank (coming soon) that’s been on the way for some time. Retro fans can collect the retro cloth lineup with upcoming releases like Uhura, Sulu, Mugato, Pike, and Salt Vampire along with a sweet Bridge Playset where you can play with them. Star Trek is joining DST’s Femme Fatales series as well with a new PVC statue of Troi from Next Generation ($45, coming soon)!

Thumbs down Re: SDCC15: Diamond Select Toys Star Trek

    *sigh*

More Megos, and now a statue in scale with their Femme Fatales line?

That's not what I want AT ALL.

What I want is a continuation of the 7" figure line that Art Asylum started and Diamond continued for many years! (till those crappy Jakks Star Trek movie pegwarmers turned retailers against the notion of Trek figs and derailed the line).

They still have not released the Yeoman Rand, Nurse Chapel, Salt Vampire, Romulan Captain, Captain Sisko in Defiant command chair, Gul Dukat and sickbay Bones McCoy figs, even though they went so far as investing in having actual prototypes made of all of them.

That is what I am waiting for, not this endless junk I have NO interest in, year after year after year.

edit: I think this Troy looks good and I would buy it IF it was in scale with my existing Star Trek fig collection. But I do not collect the Femme Fatales line and it is in scale with nothing else in my collection. So this is totally useless to me.

They did make those staction figs with the dioramas for a couple of years, but those sold out immediately and I was never even able to find them in any stores.

Maybe I'll try and track them down someday while I'm waiting for Diamond to make more Star Trek things that I actually want.
