One of the cool games at the Impressions booth at GAMA Trade Show 2015 that really caught our eye was Specter Ops by Nazca Games. Described as a “board game version of stealth action video games like Metal Gear,” Ops combines sneaking and guesswork with fast-paced combat and unique abilities. One player is an A.R.K. agent breaking into a Raxxon facility on a mission to accomplish three objectives while the others are company “men” trying to stop the break in! There are different characters with abilities and equipment represented by cool miniatures, and with different objectives the game has lots of replayability, and switching the role of infiltrator between the same group of players makes each game unique. There’s even a cool feature when you have the maximum of 5 players; one of the Raxxon players becomes a secret double-agent! Ask your local game store to get you a copy of Specter Ops when it releases in the next couple months, MSRP $50.
