First-Ever Vinyl Figure, Action Locker, More...

Captain Action was patrolling the Toy Fair convention halls, showing off some exciting new items that will make their debut at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2). To be held April 24-26, the three day event will offer fans the first-ever Captain Action vinyl figure produced by CKRTLAB Toys (see our story HERE). Priced at $25, the classic Captain decked out in blue will be available for purchase at CKRTLAB Toys' booth #557 and through select comic retailers after the show. Most exciting is the Black Ops version of Captain Action which will be exclusive to C2E2. This limited edition vinyl figure (run size to be determined) stars the Captain dressed in midnight black attire. Any remaining exclusive Black Ops Captain Action vinyl figures will be offered by CKRTLAB after the show (I don't expect many will be left). Captain Action Enterprises and CKRTLAB Toys expressed to me at Toy Fair their plans to expland the vinyl line beyond Captain Action in the future. Just a few characters to receive the stylized vinyl toy treatment include Dr. Evil and Action Boy.

Another great Captain Action collectible shown to me for the first time was the Action Locker. Reminiscent of another action figure classic, the spacious "Official Wooden Foot Locker" will be specially hand-crafted in the USA and will feature gorgeous retro Captain Action art on the lid, as well as inside. A plastic storage tray is included and there is plenty of room available to store your Captain Action figure(s), gear and multiple wardrobes. Captain Action Enterprises is still ironing out the details, pricing to be determined, but the edition run for this will be in the hundreds as opposed to the thousands. This is truly a unique Captain Action item. Plans are to launch this at C2E2 as well.

As announced at San Diego Comic-Con (HERE), 2015 holds plenty of partnership surprises for Captain Action. Tonner has the beautiful Lady Action as a 16" collector doll (HERE), Go Hero/ Executive Replicas/ Phicen are releasing a 1:6th scale figure of the British Bombshell (HERE), and ZICA Toys has a 3 3/4" Captain Action action figures planned along with a scaled vehicle: the Silver Streak (see HERE)! Also be on the look out for new Lady Action spy thriller novels, the book planned to release at San Diego Comic-Con this year!
