SDCC14: Sideshow's COURT OF THE DEAD

New In-House Statue Series Stuns SDCC Attendees...

If you thought Sideshow's "The Dead" was cool, you haven't seen nothing yet. Making its presence known at San Diego Comic-Con was Sideshow's new in-house line of high-end statues: Court of the Dead. Fans got to check out the entire range of statues - past, present and future - and even got some free swag for their trouble (as if!) in the form of a collectible patch and poster (see our gallery below).

The world of the Court of the Dead revolves around Death, a mysterious overlord who seeks to redefine the laws of the afterlife. Focused on one purpose, to “Rise, Conquer and Rule,” the members of the Court assemble under the three Disciplines of the underworld: Spirit, Bone, and Flesh, each defined by unique philosophies and traits.

Housed in a tented pavilion at Sideshow's booth, the Court of the Dead exhibit displayed a wide range of large Premium Format Figures. These include current releases and pre-orders, such as Demithyle, Exhalted Reaper General (released), Gethsemoni, Queen of the Dead (available for pre-order now), Avarkus, The Red Death (pre-order) and the insanely intricate Gallevarbe, Death's Siren (pre-order).

New upcoming releases included Shieve, Arbiter of Bone; Kier, Valkyrie of the Dead; Mortighull, Risen Reaper General; Xiall, The Great Osteomancer; and Cleopsis, Eater of the Dead.
