You ever follow something, then take a break for a few years, then return to realize that something you followed is now something totally different? That’s Dragon Ball Z for me, which is evidently so yesterday. Dragon Ball Super is now where it’s at.
Tapping the latest incarnation of the Dragon Ball franchise, Just Toys has produced a series of cute and collectible plush. These are being distributed in the U.S. via UCC Distributing, who was kind enough to let me share a look at them with you. Read on!
Hitting retail now, this assortment includes:
- Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta
- Super Saiyan Rose Goku
- Super Saiyan Blue Goku
- Future Trunks
- Goku Black
- Fusion Zamasu
If you’re like me and confused about all the Gokus (Goki?), prepare to be even more confused. My research on these characters revealed that Goku Black is actually Zamasu. If that weren’t crazy enough, Goku Black is also Rose Goku, or more precise, Super Saiyan Rose – a more powerful transformation. So in essence, three of these plush are the same character: the main bad guy(s) of the series.
Blue Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Blue Goku are all the good guys. The latter, also known as Super Saiyan Blue (originally known as Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan!!) is a higher transformation of the true Goku we all know and love, only with stronger powers and yes, blue hair.
Whew! I’m not sure how the kiddos keep track, but I’m sure the colors help a lot. Palm-sized, each Dragon Ball Super plush measures approximately 5-6 inches tall – the extra inch dedicated to character’s with spiky anime hair. They are an ideal size for collecting and displaying on a shelf.
If you’re a fan of Dragon Ball Super, these super cute plush might be what you’re looking for. Orders are currently open at select retailers, including ToyWiz.com where they are priced at around $15 each. Grab ’em while they’re hot!
