New York Comic Con 2017 coverage brought to you by Eaglemoss Collections.
Playmobil made their first New York Comic Con appearance showing off their first licensed product! This included items from How To Train Your Dragon and the fan-favorite Ghostbusters.
The latter showed off previously released items including the massive firehouse playset and Ecto-1 vehicle. New figures on display included a series of Mission Packs (figures with vehicles) based on the animated Real Ghostbusters cartoon, and a wave of figures from Ghostbusters 2. The Ghostbuster 2 figures will include numerous accessories, including what Playmobil is calling Playmogram 3D.
The technology is an app for your cell phone that will show off a unique hologram for each character (augmented reality). While we didn;t get to see the tech in action, it sounds pretty exciting and is sure to bring extra value and an incentive to collect all four Busters when they release in 2018.
