If you’re looking to invest in the most extensive Game of Thrones figure line on the market, look no further than Dark Horse’s 7-inch figure series. Already 24 figures deep, the line alternates from delivering Game of Thrones’ many A-list characters (or what is left of them), to delivering lesser known, but equally interesting minor roles. It all makes for an impressive figure collection for fans of the hit HBO show.
Dark Horse’s newest figure – a Son of the Harpy – falls in the latter category. An underground insurgency group fighting the rule of Daenerys Targaryen, the masked assassins played an important part in the “Dragon Queen’s'” story line during seasons 5 & 6.
Donning a golden horned mask, the Son of the Harpy figure is one of the cooler looking characters in the line. Nothing against major characters like Daenerys Targaryen, but I think casual fans will be more drawn to this mysterious knife-wielding warrior. Serious Game of Thrones fans will appreciate this figure as well, the Son of the Harpy an excellent example of Game of Thrones’ creative fantasy design.
