For the young at heart among you, a must-see event happening in conjunction with New York Comic Con is Tales from the Toybox. Part of ReedPOP’s NYCC Presents lineup, this audio/visual spectacular to be held on Thursday, October 6th is a time-hopping trip through the past that will revisit some of the greatest toys ever made…as well as looking at some of the greatest playthings currently on the market, and examining the hugely popular retro toy craze.

Your hosts for this evening of nostalgic fun are Bill Zanowitz (The Crime Fighter Inquiry, Comic Book Bears) and Chris Cummins (Den of Geek, Nerd Nite Philadelphia), and they’ll be discussing action figures, games, and other toys — covering everything from the classic Mego superheroes to the current Re-Mego landscape and from the creepy terror of Hugo, Man of a Thousand Faces to the lovely ladies of Monster High.

Joining them will be an impressive lineup of special guests, including:

  • Ed Catto (Captain Action, Bonfire Agency, ComicMix)
  • Billy Brooks (Con Man, Anomalisa, Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones)
  • Bob Joy (Alex Toys)
