PACKAGING: In addition to producing some of the most hyper-realistic 1/6 scale collectibles on the market today, the folks at Hot Toys always manage to put a lot of T.L.C. into their packaging design. With their Terminator Salvation Movie Masterpiece collection, the package has been designed to have a very industrial look and feel to it. The figure and accessories are housed within two interconnecting dark grey Styrofoam trays which have a unique embossed machine-like design. The graphics and product images are printed on a separate cardboard sleeve which slides over the Styrofoam encasing and helps keep both trays held tightly together.

SCULPT: This particular figure stands out above all of the other human Hot Toys figures by not only having an incredibly realistic set of sculpted portrait heads but also including a uniquely crafted battle-damaged left arm. Once again Hot Toys has achieved perfection in capturing the realistic likeness of actor Sam Worthington as the unsuspecting android Marcus Wright.

Artist Eom Jae Sung has done an incredible job in capturing the uncanny likeness of the actor on both head portraits. The endoskeleton's skull details on Marcus' battle-damaged head are truly amazing and the contrast between the human flesh and metal parts of the head is simply jaw-dropping! Marcus' left arm is composed of an endoskeletal arm covered by a rubberized outer
skin. The arm is riddled with various gaping wounds which expose the mechanical workings of the endoskeleton arm which looks simply amazing. The craftsmanship and detail on this figure serves as a perfect example of the immaculate quality that sets Hot Toys apart from other collectibles in the market today.

PAINT: This figure features a lot of painted details. The bruises on the figure's left arm are painted flawlessly and look incredibly real as a result. Artist J C Hong has truly breathed life into the figure by applying his flawlessly realistic painting techniques to both of Marcus' portrait heads. Simply put, the high-quality paint work on this figure is a true work of art.

ARTICULATION: Marcus is mainly composed of the Hot Toys TrueType male Caucasian body which provides a vast range of motion to the figure. The TrueType body is the most poseable 1/6 scale body on the market today allowing collectors to pose the figure in endless movie-specific poses. The rubberized skin on the arms does limit the range of motion on the joints but is still flexible enough to achieve awide array of dynamic poses.

ACCESSORIES: Unlike other Hot Toys figures, Marcus Wright does not include a lot of accessories but the abundant wardrobe pieces that accompany the figure makes up for the lack of extra items. Although this is not a MMS DX figure, the packed-in extras offers collectors the choice of displaying Marcus in one out of three different looks. The movie-accurate wardrobe and accessories is the real "icing on the cake"for this figure!

Thumbs up Re: Hot Toys MMS Terminator: Salvation Marcus Wright

Nice review Jorgep, it was very informative. I was on the fence about getting this piece, but after reading your review I will definitely get one or maybe two so that I can have two versions next to each other.
