Since there was no SDCC exclusive reveal for MOTUC at Toy Fair this year, can you at least offer a hint of what it may be?
Will the ab crunch on the Faceless One be restricted by his body armor or will the armor be made of a soft and flexible material that will accomodate the ab joint? We’ll be revealing all of our SDCC items around April. There will indeed be a MOTUC item which will be $25. There will not be a deco change, but there will be a pack-out change between the version at SDCC and the version sold after the show on Mattycollector.com (with both versions coming with the same total parts, just packed out differently and with different package bios!)
We know that MOTUC is all about the classics but is there any chance that the final head sculpt on Clawful can be updated to look less whimsical. Not in the least. His armor is similar to Chief Carnivus and lifts over his head. It does not go down all the way to his ab crunch area.
You mentioned at Toy Fair that the first Voltron Force item will sell exclusivelly at San Diego Comic-Con later this year alongside the toy line's full reveal. Will the SDCC item be revealed to the public previous to the show?Nope. The figure has already been tooled as the Four Horsemen designed him. For the most part when a figure is revealed it is beyond the time to make any changes to the sculpt (just FYI!). Sometimes we can make slight changes to deco, but that is about the limit (like we did with Skeletor’s purple feet on Battle Armor Skeletor after fan feedback from SDCC).
Do you have any additonal plans for the Cars 2 brand aside from just hot wheels?Yes. All of our SDCC items will be revealed around April.
Tons! The Cars 2 line will include everything from die cast cars to track sets, puzzles, games and more!
