Huckleberry is set to unveil a look into one of children's television most beloved talents, Sid & Marty Krofft, at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. For the first time ever, fans will be able to look at and purchase limited edition giclees of the behind the scenes artwork that went into making such classic shows as HR PUFNSTUF, THE BUGALOOS, SIGMUND & THE SEA MONSTERS and LAND OF THE LOST, among others.
"The Krofft's are one of the only entities who have never released any of their artwork for public consumption," says Huckleberry president Hugo Stevenson. "So we worked with them to not only create an amazing initial offering of limited edition artwork, but also some other limited edition products for fans to enjoy at San Diego Comic-Con."
Huckleberry will also be releasing an exclusive line of signed and numbered skateboard decks depicting HR Pufnstuf, Sigmund the Sea Monster, a Sleestak and various Krofft characters. The skateboard decks are made from 7 ply Canadian Maple, measure 8" x 32" and will be made in editions no larger than 50 pieces, depending on the deck design. All the decks will be pre-signed and numbered by Sid & Marty Krofft and carry a price of $65.
The festivities will culminate with a panel on Saturday July 24 at 1:30 PM in Room 24ABC called Behind the Scenes with Sid & Marty Krofft: A look at the Past, Present and Future. Join Sid & Marty Krofft for a look back at what they have achieved and then take a look to the future with Joe Ruby and Ken Spears (Scooby Doo, Thundar the Barbarian) who have partnered with the Kroffts in Creations from the World of Jack Kirby for this interview and Q&A session. The panel will be moderated by producer Bonny Dore.
After the panel, Sid & Marty Krofft, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears will appear in Huckleberry’s booth #4149 for a signing from 3:00-4:00 PM.
