NYCC14: Square Enix Announces Variant Play Arts Kai MARVEL

Iron Man and Spider-Man To Kick Things Off...

Always a company full of convention surprises, Square Enix announced at New York Comic Con the big news of Variant Play Arts Kai Marvel. Joining their imaginative collection of DC Comic superheroes, the in-house designed Marvel series will kick off with Iron Man and Spider-Man. A painted prototype of Tony Stark's armor was on display with multiple blast effects while Spidey was represented by concept art. Release dates and pricing on both figures is to be decided, most likely next spring in the $90 range.

Not to be outdone, DC Variant Arts Kai made a strong appearance with the unveiling of Catwoman.
