A new BigBadToyStore.com pre-order listing reveals that Kotobukiya will be releasing an ArtFX J Statue based on the hit anime Attack on Titan. Priced at $149.99, the statue depicts one of the series' main characters - Eren Yeager - fully kitted up in his Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear. The gear uses a complex system of gas and harpoon cables to allow the user great mobility while fighting titans, large lumbering humonid creatures that threaten to devour all of humanity (quite literally!).
I just finished watching the first 25 episodes released last year (no word yet on a second season). While the series tends to beat you over the head with certain character flaws for more dramatic impact (I get it, now move on!), the unique gothic universe and mysterious overall story arc are well established and intriguing.
