San Diego Comic-Con 2012 gave us our first taste of ELYSIUM (see HERE), the latest sci-fi romp from Neill Blomkamp, director of 2009's surprise hit District 9. SONY Pictures now provides fans with a look at the official movie poster, as well as the first official trailer. The movie, now scheduled for release August 9th, stars Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, among others.

In the year 2159, two classes of people exist. The rest live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky ex-con Max is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
