Hot Collectibles From The Hit HBO Series...

Dark Horse continues to support HBO's hit fantasy series Game of Thrones with a wide selection of collectible novelty items as well as a line of high-end resin sculptures. On display at New York Toy Fair were numerous stunning entries in the latter category, including a set of cool Direwolf bookends (in stores now, MSRP $79.99), a statue of the clever dwarf Tyrion (in stores this month, MSRP $199.99), majestic mini replica of the show's namesake, the Iron Throne (March release, MSRP $59.99) and an eye-grabbing sculpture of Jon Snow and Ghost statue due out this June (Pictured Above, MSRP $349.99). Dark Horse had another amazing sculpture on display, but we weren't allowed to photograph it due to it not being approved yet. A paint-master, the piece depicts a White Walker from the waist up clutching an ice spear. The limited edition bust was digitally sculpted and will feature straw wrappings on the spear, a cool translucent resin "icicle" spear tip and electronic light-up blue eyes! The piece will appropriately be called The White Walker.

Fans that recall way back to when Dark Horse received the Game of Thrones license (see our late 2011 story HERE) will remember that action figures were part of that deal. We spoke to Dark Horse about that at Toy Fair and they were pleased to say that figures are still on the way. Dark Horse is simply making sure everything is in place and perfected before showing them off; the line to fully embrace all the major characters of the show. Unfortunately fans will just have to hang tight a little bit longer - right now 2014 is being strongly eyed as the launch date.
