DC Collectibles unveiled their upcoming Darkseid figure during an exclusive function for Press only. The upcoming gargantuan figure is based on the 52 redesign and towers over the rest of the standard figures. The new deluxe figure is almost 12 inches tall and about 8" wide making it one heavy piece of plastic. The deluxe Darkseid is scheduled for release this November with an MSRP of $95.

While Darkseid was amazing, there were lots of other cool products on display at the DC Collectibles event. The Justice League figures that are being released in single editions will be bundled in a cool 7-pack later this year (online exclusive). 10% of the sales will go to the We Can Be Heroes charity, and this pack will feature slightly different versions of two figures: Cyborg will have a different hand weapon and Superman will have a slight change.

The long-running Batman: Black and White series continues in October with the title character and Bane by Kelley Jones, while those characters will also appear in bust forms of their appearances in The Dark Knight Rises with Bane Winter Battle and a Batman with EMP Rifle variant. At the end of the year DC will release the next statue in the Cover Girls lineup, an amazing Poison Ivy that’s unlike anything you’ve seen before. Joining the small-scale New 52 Super Heroes busts is a tremendous Shazam! with the new costume that has thus far only been seen in promotional images. Finally, the Before Watchmen series will have four beautiful full scale statues: Comedian, Silk Spectre, Rorschach, and Dr. Manhattan.

Beyond all of that good stuff was another table of “secret” items that we weren’t allowed to photograph. We can tell you that DC is looking into a line of 4 inch scale Spy Vs. Spy figures with all sorts of fun weapons and vehicles. The Justice League lineup of action figures will expand beyond the initial seven into other characters who have appeared in the book. And if you like the Batman: Black and White series you’ll be very interested in a new lineup of Superman statues based on the Man of Steel’s appearance as interpreted by different artists.

At the DC booth there was even more to see, including a very cool scene of the New 52 Justice Leaguers fighting a horde of Parademons. Alfred E. Neumann lightened things up a bit with the great lineup of Just-Us figures frolicking in front of a massive cardboard Hall of Just-Us and a banged up Legion of Dumb! What had attendees really talking was the fantastic 3 ¾ inch scale Green Lantern diorama. These figures are scheduled to be convention exclusives only at this time, and while they’d love to get it to fans there are no current plans for mass producing the Oa playset. Busts and statues rounded out the DC Collectibles display.
