As announced late last year (see our story HERE), Shrunken Head Studios had acquired the license to the 1982 horror classic CREEPSHOW. Plans called for 1:6th and 1:4th scale figures along with "some fun novelty stuff" based on some of the more popular stories in the film anthology, such as "Father's Day" and "The Crate".

The wait is now over as Shrunken Head announces that they will soon begin accepting pre-orders on their first item: a ghastly 1:6th scale action figure of the rotting zombie from "Father's Day". The figure features a 30 point articulated body, film-accurate sculpt of Mr Grantham's rotten head (complete with posable jaw), hands, chest and shoes, and great accessories such as the marble ashtray and a healthy helping of "cake", or in this case - Aunt Sylvia's head! Cake comes complete with seven candles, frosting and serving tray. The exclusive version of this figure - limited to only 400 pieces - features cake candles that actually light up.

Pre-orders for Father's Day begin Sunday, March 18th at ShrunkenHeadStudios.com, the figure priced at $98. In addition, all exclusive edition pre-orders get entered into a drawing for the next figure in the series - "Fluffy" from "The Crate" - when it is released.

This would have been a cool novelty item to have on the shelf with the likes of McFarlane's Movie Maniacs and some NECA stuff at the 6"-7" range, but an expensive 12" is an easy pass. If Shrunken Head decides to, well, shrink this to a more feasible size and cost, it would be a win.
