Similar to last year's Deus Ex: Human Revolution reveal, Square Enix surprised attendees of the 2012 Toy Fair with news of new Mass Effect 3 Play Arts Kai. Currently in development with shipping and pricing to be decided, the first assortment will include the game's hero Commander Shepard (male), human female squad member Ashley Williams and lethal turian ally Garrus. Like past Kai, the figures will stand an impressive 9 inches tall and sport tons of articulation and accessories, including alternate hands and multiple weapons. Check out our Toy Fair photo gallery below for even more photos of these incredible action figures.

Not into Shepard's face. He looks too young and kind of squat. The squat part is really unusual for Kai. I always think their toys are too tall and skinny, but I think he needs to be moreso.

Ashley is hotter than she is in the game, so good job there.

Garrus is completely and absolutely perfect, I think. If there's going to be one standout in the first series, my money's on him. If these creep back down to the 50 to 60 dollar range, I'm totally in. If they stay up near 80, I'm afraid I'd have to pass.

I agree, why I asked them if he would come with a helmet:) They said a helmet wasn't planned, but it's a possibility. Also asked about color variants - or what his color would be - being that there are so many armor/colors in the games. Said they hadn't decided, but I'm sure they'll stick with his classic black armor. But yeah, I am all about Garrus in this wave:)

I hadn't thought about it, but now that you mention it look at all the Mk5s/Master Chiefs and Nobles we've gotten in various colors since they introduced those cats in the Kai line. I could really see some very strong potential for SDCC repaints and the like on all these characters, with perhaps new weapons and/or helmets. That was a good question, bro.

Please let these be 60 bucks or less!!!!

Thanks. Yeah one of my favorite ME armor colors was the white camo in the first game (second and third too, it looks like). Why I asked, LOVE that armor:)

Oh, I am sure of it. It's what most people identify him wearing. Just saying it'd be cool to have variants released - as wesitron pointed out - as future exclusives, etc.
