The September edition of Diamond Comic Distributors’ PREVIEWS catalog arrives in comic shops, hobby stores, and other direct market outlets on August 31 and features comic books, graphic novels, toys, and additional pop culture products scheduled to go on sale beginning November 2011.

The front cover of the September PREVIEWS showcases DC Comics’ AQUAMAN #3 (above), which continues the new series from writer Geoff Johns and artist Ivan Reis, the creative team behind an acclaimed run DC’s Green Lantern and the Eisner Award-nominated Blackest Night. Launched as part of DC’s New 52 publishing initiative, Aquaman has seen the hero attempting to fend off cannibalistic sea creatures and unravel the mystery of the Trench. In this issue, the secret is at last revealed.

Like the front cover, the back cover for this month’s catalog is dedicated to the latest project from one of the industry’s most highly regarded artists – Image Comics’ GUNS AND DINOS #1 by Frank Cho (below). Well known for his work on series like Liberty Meadows and Hulk, Cho now writes and draws this three-issue mini-series chronicling what happens when time-travelling soldiers are accidentally transported back to a time when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

All this and more is waiting in the September issue of PREVIEWS, which goes on sale at your local comic shop or specialty store on Wednesday, August 31 at a cover price of $4.50.
