Make way for TRAKK...

Out of all the amazing action figures Stan Winston Creatures produced (you can still see them all HERE), Mutant Earth was my absolute favorite. The main reason this series ruled my world was the introduction of the hero TRAKK, a human warrior designed by none other than the talented Simon Bisley (only one of my favorite artists).

Appearing as if he was ripped right from one of Bisley's futuristic paintings, Trakk bristled with coolness, from his intimidating tattooed bulk to his massive projectile weapon. Simple put, Trakk is one of my all-time favorite action figures in my collection.

such an awesome series of figures. WAY before their time.

At $14.99 each, they didn't sell well, but of course they included a load of weapons each, they included a well made and fully sculpted base, and an above average sized figure that today would cost $25 - 30 easily if it were new.

Sadly, the series and company didn't get to see their best work made.

I was praying for Robot Revolt, Four Horsemen, Aliens line and their Crazy Monsters line (that included the craziest death angel EVER) to be release...alas, it was not to be... :(

Wow!!!!!! I was so impressed with Trakk's uber cool looks and design that i couldnt resist myself from reading more about him!

Thanks for the URL to Stan Studio site. All the figures there are just awesome. It talks about a movie or an animated series.

After lot of searching I stumbled upon this video:

Did it ever take off? Looks really cool though :)

Love Stan Winston figures. They weren't appreciated when they were released, and it's such a shame. $14.99 was a good price even then, as they were big, had bases and cool accessories, and top it all, they were exclusives. Out of the Mutant Earth line I still like Horgg best. They all are very well done, and still hold up today in detail and overall greatness. Stan is missed. RIP
