Jorge is the only one they didn't get right, the McFarlane one has far better proportion and bulk. Just like a lot of western entertainment ventures can't quite nail the feel of eastern aesthetics, sometimes they can't nail ours. He's just tooooo lean, but his armor is still bulky. The figure itself is still amazing, the bullet damage to the shoulder plates is flawless. But at the same time, the armor looks really off and almost funny due to the far too thin limb proportions.

I really hope they at least re-tool the arms and neck before release.

My thoughts EXACTLY mephisto1138. And Jorge was the character I was looking forward to the most - love that huge, hulking armor design and gun - but something just isn't right with the Kai translation. Looking like I may just settle on Jun in this series (2nd fave design)... perhaps Carter (do love that helmet).

Folks,

I bought the first wave of this series of Halo: Reach figures and have to say that I am quite happy with them. I agree that Jorge is undersized and not as bulky as he should be, but it still appears to be a great figure. From what I saw at Toy Fair and from some online reviews from folks overseas, Jorge stands about half a head taller than Carter, while Kat is about half a head shorter. I think Jorge's smaller size is a result of Square trying to fit him into that standard packaging and the desire to reuse as many parts form the basic Play Arts figure articulation as possible - things always need to cost out and Jorge is the same retail price as Carter & Kat. I would have preferred something along the same proportional size and scale as the McFarlane Jorge, but it doesn't appear to have happened. That being said, it does state that these figures are "Non-Scale" on the packaging and promotional literature.

Anyhoo, I will be picking up the remaining three figures in this line and the completist in me will be a happy camper.

On a closing note, Jun is my favorite figure from wave 1 followed by Emile with Noble 6 bringing up the rear. All truly great figures, though.

Best,
Guido
