Outer Space Men, Symbiotech, Magma C.O.R.P.S., more...

San Diego Comic-Con coverage brought to you by Collectibles Insurance, Big Bad Toy Store, Sekaido, and Monkey Depot.

The Four Horsemen have their work cut out for them. In between sculpting some of the hottest toys on the market for other toy companies, 4H Studios has been steadily gearing up to release more of their in-house creations and licensed product. The Outer Space Men is an example of the latter, a passionate collaboration with the property's creator, Mel Birnkrant, and Onell Designs. Utilizing Onell's interchangable Glyos system, the 3 3/4" figures take the classic space characters into the 21st century with rugged design and imaginative sculpt. The Comic-Con Exclusive Alpha Phase Waves were on display at the show along with a look at the first three standard assortments.

* Wave 1 will include Classic Colors Astro Nautilus and Metamorpho
* Wave 2 Classic Colors Inferno and Xodiac
* Wave 3 Commander Comet and Mysteron

The Four Horsemen's plan is to then release figures from their in-house created action figure line Symbiotech. Fans may recall these characters being offered in voting rounds for their FANtastic Exclusive, but always losing out to 7th Kingdom. Symbiotech finally gets its due with an assortment of transforming and interchangeable toys, hopefully by year's end. Figures on display included Oxx and Levia-33, Tygos and Tygolyth, Sonos and Guanos, and Bipedix and Bipedon. An example of the transformation feature was given with Tygolyth. The figure shown HERE demonstrated how the creature's armor and hands can morph into a flying vehicle.

If the Outer Space Men and Symbiotech lines are successful (fan reaction at the show was very positive), plans are to proceed with figures from Magma C.O.R.P.S., another in-house 4H property, as well as the winners from FANtastic Exclusive, such as Scarabus. Getting toys made is all about money, money, money and fan support dictates what gets made or not. From what we saw at Comic-Con, the Four Horsemen certainly have our full support.

Scarabus looks amazing. One fig I have been waiting years and years for.

Only thing I'm worried about is the size. I think I remember reading someplace they were thinking of shrinking the scale on him or something. Please don't!!

And what ever happened to all those very cool Scarabus variants they showed us last year? I really really wanted the beastmen ones. -- Even if only as a website exclusive or something, come on and release 'em!
