Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is a new 3D animated television show for kids coming in September to Disney XD. Produced by Avi Arad and highlighting the comedic elements of Pac-Man’s world, the show will have 26 episodes and air 7 days a week in its initial run! To bring the crazy antics of everyone’s favorite yellow eating maching home Bandai is presenting a full lineup of Pac-Man toys, and we got to check them out at Toy Fair.
One of the fun things about this Pac-Man is the presence of goo. That’s right, when the yellow dude eats ghosts the residue is goo that he can spit out at his enemies. Appropriately, there will be a line called Micro Figures and Gooage with blind bags of goo ($2.99) that include micro figures; there are 10 different sculpts with five different colors, plus chase glow in the dark versions. The core toy line is the basic Pac-Man and Friends ($3.99 each) with a variety of characters. The Pac-Panic Battle Spinners are slightly larger figures that separate; the top portion becomes a spinning top that you can battle with others! These will be offered in single ($6.99) and two packs ($12.99) of good vs. evil.
Ghost Grabbers ($9.99) are the deluxe figures with action features representing Pac-Man after he eats different Power Berries that give him special abilities. These include things like a long unfolding tongue, ice blaster, and more. The large Gooage Spewing Gigantic Pac ($19.99) is going to be a huge hit with kids; load him up with goo and he spits it out. Other products include a battle arena for the spinners, Transforming Fruit Vehicles, and a massive plush Talk’N Chomp’N Pac ($29.99) that moves and has a sound chip with 25 phrases and sounds.
