McFarlane's toy line based on the hit AMC series The Walking Dead dominated their Toy Fair 2015 showroom. Coming later this year will be two new 6-inch scale figure waves, a 10" deluxe figure of Michonne, and tons of new Walking Dead Building Sets. The latter have really become quite popular, with numerous new retailers picking the line up (see our story HERE). Scroll on to see what's new for 2015...






The Walking Dead Building Sets

• Walker Barrier (SRP $14.99): Includes two stake barriers; two male herd walkers and one female walker. The walkers can be impaled on barrier spikes!
• Atlanta Hospital Doors (SRP $14.99): Features Rick Grimes in his hospital gown; hospital corpse body; cafeteria doors ("Don't Open, Dead Inside"); debris and partial hospital hallway.
• Boiler Room (SRP $19.99, 158 pieces): Fans can now recreate the emotional Season 3 scene between Rick, a walker and a phone! Includes boiler, piping and valves; workshop bench and accessories, including the legendary phone; Rick Grimes and Gorged Walker figures
• Prison Catwalk (SRP $29.99, 352 pieces): Includes two set of stairs, sliding cell doors, and collapsible flooring; set is modular and combinable with
• the upper and lower Prison Cell; contains Hershel and Respiratory Walker figures
• Prison Cells (SRP $9.99 each): Includes a 3-sided cell with functioning cell door and partial catwalk; also contains a toilet, sink, cot with sheet, and table with character-themed accessories. Lower Prison Cell includes either Carl Grimes or Patrick Walker. Upper Prison Cell includes either Carol or Flu Walker. Modular set that combines with additional Prison Cell building sets

6" Walking Dead Figures (TV)

In April fans will receive a new assortment (Series 7) of character figures based on the hit AMC televison series. This wave stars a new Michonne and Carl Grimes, Gareth, and a Mud Walker. The latter can be split in half so that it appears that it is coming out of the ground. A Series 7.5 will see release in June, the wave featuring Flu Walker, Daryl Dixon (Season 4), Woodbury Assault Rick Grimes.

Come October, fans will be able to get their hands on Series 8, which will include: Eugene (in riot gear), the mysterious Morgan, long lost friend Dale, Bob before his Terminus ordeal, and a new bearded look for Rick Grimes.

Also in October, be on the look out for a deluxe 6" boxed set starring Morgan and a Walker with Spike Trap.






10" Walking Dead Figures

McFarlane's super-sized 10 inch figure series receives some sword-swinging action this October with the release of Michonne. We were at McFarlane's booth as they were unboxing the unpainted prototype (pictured above) and we have to say it looks phenomenal. Michonne follows fan-favorites Daryl Dixen and Rick Grimes in the 10" Walking Dead figure series.
