Tons of news came out of NECA at this year's Toy Fair, so much that a wrap-up story was in order. Here's the rundown of new licensed action figures and collectibles you can look forward to from now until this Summer!






PACIFIC RIM:

- 18" Striker Eureka was shown in all its detailed towering beauty. Releasing this Spring.
- 7" Series 6 Figures were shown. Due out in the Spring, this wave includes Horizon Brave and Reactor Blast Gipsy Danger.
- At least five (5) more Jaegers and three (3) more Kaiju are currently in development. A Winged Otachi is planned as one of the Kaiju.
- Pacific Rim Chibi Figures to be San Diego Comic-Con exclusives.
- 6" Rubber Baby Otachi coming this Spring.

TERMINATOR:

- Ultimate 7" T2 T-800 arriving this Summer. Arnold including 3 interchangeable heads (regular, sunglasses and battle-damaged) and a veritable arsenal of accessories: Minigun, ammo bag, ammo belt, grenade launcher, shotgun and pistol. Deluxe window box packaging.
- 7" Terminator Genisys figures arriving this Summer.

HOME ALONE:

- New holiday license announced. 25th Anniversary of the film. 8" clothed figures of Wet Bandits and Kevin loaded with cool and fun accessories.

RAMBO:

- At least two (2) new Rambo figures are coming this year that weren't shown at Toy Fair. One might be a SDCC exclusive, the other regular retail.

BLIZZARD'S HEROES OF THE STORM:

- Wave 1 arriving in July: Illidan Stormrage and Nova (StarCraft)
- Deluxe Stitches (World of Warcraft)
- Wave 2 release TBD: Tyrael (Diablo) and Arthas (World of Warcraft)

MARVEL:

- NECA announced that Quarter Scale Avengers 2 figures are coming this Summer. Iron Man MK 43 and Hulk

ALIEN:

- 7" Aliens Series 5 arriving this Summer. Includes '86 movie Ripley, Bishop (Torn in Half), and Red and Black Genocide Warriors
- Deluxe Power Loader will release with Series 5 this Summer.
- Alien Eggs will be sold separately as a 6-pack in Weyland-Yutani egg carton-style packaging. Three eggs open, three eggs closed. Will also include three facehuggers.
- All-new Quarter Scale 1979 Xenomorph coming this Summer.

CLASSIC VIDEO GAME APPEARANCES:

- Gremlins 2: The New Batch Mohawk figure (with Uzi!) arriving this Summer.
- Godzilla this Summer.

PREDATOR:

- Series 13 this March. Kenner-inspired wave includes Renegade, Scavage and Cracked Tusk.
- Introduction of Alien vs. Predator figures this Summer with Series 14. To include: Chopper, Scar, and Celtic.

LITTLE BIG PLANET

- All-new figure license. Wave 1 arriving this June. Series includes God of War's Kratos!

8" RETRO CLOTHED FIGURES:

- New license for Interstellar. Brand‬ and ‪Cooper‬ in spacdesuits 2-pack arriving May/June.
- New Iron Maiden Eddie from "Piece of Mind" and "2 Minutes to Midnight"
- New horror: "Pretty Lady" Leatherface, Jason Lives and Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2 Freddy

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE:

- 7" Ultimate Leatherface this May. Includes two (2) interchangable heads, chainsaw, knife, mallet, meat hook, cleaver, and a vinyl apron.

COMMANDO:

- 7" Ultimate Arnold Schwarzenegger as Col. John Matrix from the classic 1985 action movie. Arriving this Summer.

DC COMICS:

- Quarter Scale Christopher Reeve as Superman figure this May.
- Batman Returns Quarter Scale Penguin in June.
- Quarter Scale Batman: Arkham Knight Batman in July.

PLANET OF THE APES:

- Classic Series 3 to include Veska, General Aldo and Julius. Convention and shared retail exclusives.

That is one dynamite line-up!

One NECA line that I really miss is Gears of War. I wish they'd continue the line somehow, or even just make some weapons packs of some of all those weapons they never made yet.
