In very exciting news, Hot Toys announces that they are returning to their RoboCop license this year (2012 for those not quite adjusted) with a 1:6th scale action figure of CAIN, Alex Murphy's advanced, high-tech enemy featured in RoboCop 2.
Cain as seen in RoboCop 2
Launched way back in 2006, Hot Toys' 1:6th scale RoboCop and hulking ED-209 action figures impressed collectors with their faithful mechanical sculpts. Since then, Hot Toys has accumulated years of experience in developing mechanically-related figures, especially with their Iron Man series. RoboCop 2's Cain has been a long requested figure from many fans, myself included, though time and time again toy companies have stated that it is too complex a character to create affordably. No word on what Cain will set fans back (I'm guessing around $400), but kudos to Hot Toys for taking on the daunting task of making one.
