Kotobukiya has been releasing cool collectibles to the U.S. now for well over a decade, but way back in 2000, Palisades handled their North American distribution. The move really helped both companies. It gave then fledgling toy company Palisades some well-made, exotic action figures to build up their reputation (which they soon succeeded at with Muppets, etc) and it helped establish Koto in the American market at a time when it was rather difficult to obtain Japanese figures. This series of FFVII collectibles (and advertised Front Mission 3) were a great way to kick things off - both lines of action figures well ahead of their time in terms of sculpting and articulation. Many still hold a firm spot in my collection today.
