[HR][/HR]Despite its negative reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed Resident Evil: Afterlife for its stylish action and lovely leading lady, Milla Jovovich as Alice. Evidently others enjoyed it too as a fifth movie in the franchise has recently been announced. Hot Toys will be releasing a 1:6th scale "Afterlife" Alice action figure later this year, but for fans that like their collectibles life-size, Hollywood Collectibles Group has two fine 1:1 scale prop replicas coming out. These include Alice's katana and shurikens as used in the movie's explosive opening sequence.
The "Afterlife" katana has an overall length of 42" and features a 29" 420 stainless steel false-edged blade. The guard and fittings are also metal and the handle has an authentic “cord wrap”. Limited to only 500 pieces, this cool weapon is due out this May priced at $249.95.
Alice's shurikens includes a set of 3 throwing stars each 4-inch in diameter. The set comes complete with a Resident Evil themed display plaque with acrylic cover. Limited to just 1000 pieces worldwide, the "Afterlife" shurikens are also due out this May priced at $74.95.
