THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH US!!!
Receiving what will be sure to be the definitive Indy action figure is exciting enough, but look at that last sentence closely. Mentioning "The Force" STRONGLY implies that Hot Toys also has the Star Wars license. Let the fan boy cheering begin...

Sideshow's involvement sounds like it is more about licensing and distribution then actually being involved in producing: They already own the 12 inch rights for Star Wars in the U.S. and they also have had an exclusive arrangement with Hot Toys for years now as being their exclusive North American distributor. This deal allows Hot Toys to make 12" Star Wars without stepping on anyone's toes and getting their product in the U.S.

What this means for Sideshow's OWN 12" Star Wars line, however, is undetermined. I'm sure they will continue to produce their own line and Hot Toys' line will be viewed as a more "Elite" series. Because of the high amount of detail, Hot Toys only produces so many figures each year under each of their licenses, so I am sure they will be picking and choosing the Star Wars characters they produce very carefully. Sideshow, on the other hand, has rapidly been filling in the ranks with secondary characters and armored variants. The price points also seperate the two - not everyone is going to be able to afford to collect the Hot Toys series. Two different markets.
