Statues And Figures From The Hit Game...

Batman: Arkham City is one of the hottest video games in recent years, and an excellent showcase for Batman, his allies, and his enemies. DC Collectibles has been cranking out some really cool action figures and statues for the game, and they’re continuing that lineup in 2013. At Toy Fair we got to take a good look at some of those upcoming products.

In the figure assortment we’ve enjoyed Series 1, 2, and 3, with Series 4 (new Batman, Deadshot, Talia, and Nightwing) on the way in March. In addition there have been several Deluxe figures like Mr. Freeze and Killer Croc. Now, prepare yourself for the coming of Solomon Grundy! The new Grundy figure is the biggest thing to come out of DC Collectibles (even bigger AND heavier than Darkseid!) yet, and it looks amazing in person. It’s got great textures on the clothing and wrinkled, stitched, and veiny flesh, and the head sculpt is really creepy. Of course, what everyone’s talking about is Grundy’s chest with its removable outer layer and heart! Fully articulated and screen accurate down to the chains on his wrists and rope belt, the massive Grundy is set for release in the Fall with an MSRP of $99.95.

On the more static side of things DC Collectibles has its Batman Arkham City statue series. The first, Harley Quinn, is shipping to stores now and will be available by the end of the month (if they aren’t all already sold out). At the DC booth we got to see the next two statues, Nightwing and Joker! The Joker, with his eerie green hair and staining on his gloves is sculpted by Dave Cortes, stands approximately 10 inches tall, and will hit stores in late June ($124.95). Meanwhile, the former Robin with his cool blue accents is is set for release in September ($89.99).
