The Cast of the STARZ Original Series Show Gratitude to Fans...

Comic-Con attendees flocked to the Spartacus panel this year to see the cast members of the epic series and get the scoop on the latest news about the series. Director Steven S. DeKnight was joined by actors Manu Benett (Crixus) and Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) to discuss the upcoming and final chapter in the Spartacus series titled War of the Damned. Several details about the direction of the new season were shared with the audience during the panel along with the premier of the new War of the Damned trailer.

The panel was full of surprises such as Manu Bennet doing a New Zealand battle chant called the Haka in the buff for all the ladies and the unexpected appearance of most of the main cast of the Spartacus saga including: Lucy Lawless (Lucretia), Peter Mensah (Oenomaus), Nick E Tara bay (Ashur), Craig Parker (Glaber) among others. A moving and heartfelt standing ovation in honor of the late Andy Whitfield brought tears to most attendees and guests as all bid farewell to this amazing performer who lost his battle against cancer last year. Liam McIntyre expressed how humbled he felt when he was cast as the new Spartacus after Andy Whitfield’s unexpected passing.
