Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor Series Action Figures
Hyper-Articulated 1/6th Scale Scientifically Accurate Dinosaur Figures...
Sculptor David Silva, best known for his action figure work with NECA, has launched a side project under his personal company, Creative Beast Studio (Creative-Beast.com). Called Beasts of the Mesozoic, the Kickstarter-backed project is a line of 1/6th scale scientifically accurate dinosaur action figures, with great detail and articulation.
This first series of Beasts of the Mesozoic will be the 1/6th scale Raptor Series consisting of mid-sized dromaeosaurs and related species. The campaign is currently underway with three species to choose from, each priced at $35 or $100 for all three. Raptors include Velociraptor, Atrociraptor, and Tsaagan with more to follow as the campaign progresses. (A Kickstarter exclusive figure will be added the second week of the campaign). Each figure will have 26 points of articulation, realistic detail and movement based on the most recent scientific discoveries, and will also feature a base with posing rod as well as alternate running toes.
In addition, every package will have unique artwork by the amazingly talented Jonathan Kuo for each raptor and a collectible card on the back featuring the art and basic stats about each animal. And also available with this Kickstarter campaign is a signed, limited edition print by comic illustration legend, Mark Schultz, creator of Xenozoic Tales (a.k.a Cadillacs and Dinosaurs).
Beasts of the Mesozoic: Raptor Series has a goal of $125,000. $39,565 has already been pledged with 29 days left to go in the campaign. For further details and to pledge, visit the Kickstarter page HERE.
