SDCC14: NECA Quarter Scale
The Penguin, Master Chief, More...
It's full steam ahead for NECA's popular Quarter Scale figure format, with numerous new 18" tall action figures on display at Comic-Con. The biggest reveal was the unveiling of Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin as portrayed by Danny DeVito in 1992's Batman Returns. Shown was a prototype, the final version to feature a real-cloth overcoat, umbrella and Commando Penguin. Expect this figure in early 2015.
Other Quarter Scale figures on display included the other half of the Dynamic Duo, Classic '66 Series Robin (September release), Heath Ledger's unforgettable Joker from the Dark Knight Returns (August), and the invincible Master Chief from the Halo series (September).
