Funko Announces SIXTEEN CANDLES Pop! 80's Coming-Of-Age Film Gets Collectibles... When it comes to the Brat Pack-starring coming-of-age films of the '80s, I was definitely more of a Breakfast Club kinda guy. However, my wife (and many female fans like her), really liked Sixteen Candles. I think it had a lot to do with Michael Schoeffling as Jake Ryan. Now my wife and other adoring female fans will soon be able to own their very own Jake Ryan as Funko releases a four figure Pop! assortment that includes said teen heartthrob. The wave also stars Molly Ringwald as Samantha "Sam" Baker, Anthony Michael Hall as Ted, and my favorite character from the film, Gedde Watanabe as Long Duk Dong.
