    TF15: Cryptozoic DC Comics

Gaming Giant Makes A Splash In Collectibles With DC Comics...

If you play card or board games then you’re definitely familiar with Cryptozoic, but if you’re a toy collector you may not be. That will all change by next year as they’re making a big push into our world via a new partnership with DC Comics bringing out products late this year and into 2016. We got the full rundown on what Cryptozoic is working on at New York Toy Fair 2015, and it’s very impressive. With an expansive license the company is planning several initiatives starting with the “Official Fan Club Collector Kits,” unique collectibles based on the fan club kits of the 1940’s and beyond. Each retro-styled box (approximately $25) will bring you items like pins, certificates, cards, patches, small figurines, and more with era-authentic graphics and feel. The line will start with modern updates on actual fan club kits that actually existed, but will then add more characters who never got one.

A more mysterious project was simply named the “National Cartoon Pictures The Lost Episodes” initiative. Focusing on some form of Batman in the 1945 era, the Lost Episodes will be bringing a unique take with a full line of products. We can’t wait to learn more about this, and as soon as we do we’ll share with you!

DC’s Bombshells are living up to its name with massive success across the board in art, statues, and lots of other products based on the incredible designs. Cryptozoic will be joining the Bombshells party with playing cards (sold in individual decks and in deluxe two-pack sets), interpretive statues, mini busts, vinyls, and more. All of these products are being designed with an eye toward affordability while maintaining a high degree of quality and artistic design with the same artists and sculptors used by DC.

Lastly, there will be all new statues based on the recent Batman video games featuring the original digital assets used to create the characters! Look for these to include different versions of Batman from the video game skins around 11 or 12 inches tall and with another affordable price tag.
