New S.H. Figurarts Super Mario

Fire Mario and Enemy Add-On Pack...

The Japanese Tamashii Nations website unveils the next two sets in their growing S.H. Figuarts Super Mario series. Slated to arrive this September is the line's first variant figure - Fire Mario - featuring Mario in his red and white outfit and newly acquired fire power. This set includes a Fire Flower and alternate fireball-chucking hands.

Also in September will be Expansion Set D, this time featuring four Mario villains. You'll get a Bullet Bill, Boo, Koopa Trooper and another Goomba, along with a base and multiple sized clear display rods. I would have preferred a variant Winged Goomba over the traditional baddie we've received twice already, but the addition of the other three villains is welcome. Fans will also note that the original S.H. Figuarts Mario figure included a Koopa Trooper shell. With the full Koopa Trooper figure packed in Set D, the circle is now complete.
