Toy Fair 2010 coverage brought to you by the following fine sponsors: BigBadToyStore.com (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com), PastGenerationToys.com (http://www.pastgenerationtoys.com), and Sekaido.com (YesAnimation.com) (http://www.yesanimation.com).
As announced prior to Toy Fair, Jazwares has been awarded the master toy license for The A-Team, the upcoming movie adaptation of the popular 80's TV show. While photography was not permitted pending licensor approval on the product, we can say that the toy line is looking quite good. Fans can expect a series of 3 3/4" fully articulated figures (think GI Joe, in fact we asked, and they are perfectly in scale) that will consist of Hannibal, B.A. Baracus, Murdoch and Templeton "Faceman" Peck. Each will come armed with a modern firearm.
To mobilize your A-Team, Jazwares will be releasing the iconic A-Team Van. Scaled to fit the 3 3/4" figures, this cool ride will feature opening doors, including a slide open side door, and cool electronic sound effects. Jazwares is thinking fun and collectible on this one, so fans don't have to worry about silly action gimmicks like pop-out missiles and guns.
Wrapping up the initial assortment will be two 12-inch figures of Hannibal and B.A. Baracus. These will be cool static display pieces that will include voice and sounds from the movie (oversea sales will feature sound effects only).
The A-Team is planned for release on June 11, 2010 by 20th Century Fox. The figures will arrive before the film's debut.
