It’s hard to believe but it’s been nearly six years since Hasbro last released a Luke Skywalker that represented the end of Return of the Jedi. If you believe that good things come to those who wait, this figure is proof more or less.

Initial reactions might lead you to believe that he’s way too puffy or buff, reminding many of the POTF2 days, but thankfully, it’s all for a good reason. This is a super articulated Jedi Luke, the first that properly represents the events following the encounter with the Ewoks.

Not only is Luke super articulated, but he has some accessories that really add to the play value – he comes with two chest pieces that plug in. The first one is his shirt nice and neat, the other has a flap down to represent his “battle damaged” self, if you want to call it that. Scene builders would no doubt want multiples to create various scenes so if you happen to see this one, pick it up!

Luke also comes with binders and his lightsaber to create more memorable scenes. He also comes with the dome and third leg for Build-A-Droid, R3-M3. The sculpt is great, paint could be better so keep an eye out for that.

Packaging is looking sharper than ever with great looking art and a clear view of the figure inside. A production still on the card backing helps put in context the character you’re buying. There’s still no info about the random droids we’re getting but hopefully Hasbro will find a way to include it in the future.

Final word, buy this Luke Skywalker. You’ll be surprised as I was just how many amazing poses you can put him. Luke and many more Return of the Jedi characters are hitting stores now.
