NECA provides fans a packaged look at Gears of War Series 5, undeniably their coolest assortment yet with its mix of new firepower and characters. Series 5, hitting retail next week, includes 7" scale action figures of:

* Colonel Victor Hoffman - Delta Squad head honcho and tough guy.

* COG Soldier - All-new helemt sculpt and radically improved articulation.

* Beast Rider Grenadier - Notoriously hard to kill Bloodmount rider.

* Boomer - All-new Locust class packing the powerful Boomshot.

Hi Jeff!

More pictures of these figures have started to show up online... specially on our fav Epic forum. I was really shocked to know that Boomer is still a 7" figure! But from the packaging, as show above Boomer looks like 7.5" or 8"!

If I remember it right from ur interview, Randy said Boomers will be in the correct scale!
Anyways , I am sure you will "catch" him soon to ask about this and the next series ;)

When can we expect see the series 5 review?

I should be getting them soon and a review soon after. Sorry to hear about the Boomer's height issue, though their scale has always been an issue of debate. It has more girth (read: fat) than the other figures though doesn't it? Overall, as long as it looks cool, I'm all for it:) I'll get some questions together for Series 6 and beyond. Anything you and your friends care to ask, post them HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/general-toy-discussion/9372-necas-gears-war-questions.html). TX!
