Disney has big plans for Big Hero 6. Instead of creating a sequel to the Academy Award-winning movie, Disney has announced that they will be launching a Big Hero 6 animated series. Scheduled for a 2017 premiere on Disney XD, the TV series will continue where the movie left off. Hiro has joined Go Go, Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Fred as a student at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology and must navigate new academic challenges as well as social trials of being the new young prodigy on campus. That’s all while also protecting the city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains with his teammates.
Kim Possible creators Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley have been announced as the executive producers for the Big Hero 6 series.
