In many cases (though not all) small to medium scale action figures based on movie characters are made for kids and lack the high level of detail you see in true “adult collectibles.” At New York Toy Fair 2016 DC Collectibles debuted a new line of Films action figures that will make that a thing of the past. Capturing the iconic heroes and villains of recent and upcoming DC films, this line brings you the same quality we’ve come to expect from DC Collectibles figures in other lines paired with great articulation, accessories, and what promises to be a cool packaging format (we saw a prototype of a sweet fifth panel window box). On display at Toy Fair were Armored Batman, Superman, Lex Luthor, and Wonder Woman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Diablo and Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad, and Faora, General Zod, and Jor-El from Man of Steel.

All of these figures looked awesome, with the possible exception of the nondescript Lex Luthor. We got to see some examples of the articulation they’ll have, and at around 40 points they’ll have double-jointed elbows and knees and just about everything else you can imagine. Accessories and swappable parts were everywhere like Harley’s bat, angry faces, fire effects, and more. All capes will be fabric and may be poseable, and those cool display stands ARE included! DC Collectibles has not determined the MSRP yet, though it’s probably going to be somewhere in the $45 range. Not too shabby for figures of this level of detail, articulation, and display options.
