Captain Action Enterprises and Airship27 announce the release of the Jim Beard’s Captain Action: Riddle of the Glowing Men Radio Archives Audiobook.

This adventure features Captain Action, the superspy character introduced in 1966 as the world’s first superhero action figure. Jim Beard’s thriller tells how Captain Action must team up with the beautiful Uliana Ulanova as they traverse the globe and ultimately discover a lost Siberian city, in order to stop the insidious plans of Dr. Evil.

“It was hard for me to imagine how much more exciting it could be to be involved in the creation of this book, but now the audio version takes that to a whole new level. It would be an understatement to say that the action of Riddle of the Glowing Men comes alive; it lives and breathes in a whole new way, thanks to Airship 27 and Radio Archives.” said author Jim Beard.

Fred Wolinsky narrates this unabridged audiobook from Radio Archives and Audible.com.

“Captain Action: Riddle of the Glowing Men is a real rocket ride. And author Jim Beard channels his inner Ian Fleming, as though he was writing a Doc Savage adventure,” said Ed Catto, a Founding Partner and Retropreneur at Captain Action Enterprises. “This is another fantastic initiative that we’re proud to announce as part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration.”

Fans can purchase the audiobook from Amazon.com or directly from Audible.

Additional 50th Anniversary plans are scheduled to be announced.
