Dark Horse Comics, Activision Publishing, Inc., and Treyarch have teamed up to deliver a thrilling comic book series written by decorated comics veteran Larry Hama (G.I. Joe) and drawn by Marcelo Ferreira (Transformers, TMNT). The Call of Duty: Black Ops III comic book series follows an elite group of cybernetically enhanced soldiers as they wage a secret war across a futuristic, war-torn world transformed by technology.
In the first issue, the elite squad infiltrates Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to take down a double agent... but as they close in, the operatives uncover something much more sinister at hand.
Fans of the hit video game franchise can pick up a free exclusive minicomic at the show, available for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con International 2015. Visit Dark Horse Comics (booth #2615) or the Activision activation site to get a copy! (Warning: This comic contains violence and may not be suitable for those under 18 years of age.) Call of Duty: Black Ops III #1 is on comic stands November 4, 2015.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III will also invade Comic-Con with other activities and events. The excitement kicks off with a star-studded panel of in-game talent on Thursday July 9 from 1-2 PM in Room 6BCF. The Director and Lead Writer of Zombies from Black Ops III developer Treyarch, along with surprise guests, will reveal the highly-anticipated Zombies mode, along with other Call of Duty Zombies announcements.
