Japanese toy and statue giant Kotobukiya brought a tremendous selection of items to New York Toy Fair 2015, and in particular they had some awesome stuff to show off in their video game lines. On display were several currently available Metal Gear kits like the Rex and Ray in addition to the new Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero Set of figures in-scale with those larger mechs (in our photo gallery you can see the actual sprues and just-assembled figures from the Ground Zero set as well). Nearby, two silhouette cards captured the imagination of attendees with promises of things to come, notably Tali’Zorah from Mass Effect 3 coming in January 2016 and a Metal Gear Solid Sniper Wolf Bishoujo Statue based on a Shunya Yamashita illustration coming late this year!

The other big news came from the world of Halo. Expanding beyond the currently available Master Chief ARTFX Statue, Kotobukiya has announced a new line of Halo ARTFX+ 1/10 statues with the Mjolnir Powered Assault System! The series consists of Master Chief figures with a black-suited undersuit on top of which you add armor pieces. You’ll start your collection with a standard Master Chief ($80, October) that comes with the familiar green armor, and can start to customize with the first armor sets (with no base figure): Mjolnir Mark V green armor and Mjolnir Mark VI [Gen1] blue armor! Future releases will bring more colors and options, with both armor and figure sets and armor only expansions. Even better, these new Halo statues include some articulation in the arms and neck!
