Hasbro made a pre-New York Comic Con appearance in style, presenting select members of the press with a private showing of upcoming product. New Spring 2015 items on display included some of their most popular licenses, including:
- Star Wars: new 3 3/4" and 6" Black series figures, the latter debuting bounty hunter great IG-88, Commander Cody and Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise. Star Wars Rebels also was on display. Look for a throwback to the '77 Imperial Transport vehicle retooled and designed for the modern era. Star Wars Command continues to grow.
- Transformers: Combiners make a strong return as well as a focus on Kreo-O and "Robots In Disguise".
- Marvel: sampling of new Age of Ultron figures and vehicles.
- Magic: expect a board game of the popluar card game. Details to be announced soon.

The relaxed atmosphere event also provided a look at a new 3D scanning project called "Super Awesome Me". To debut tomorrow at Toys"R"Us Times Square and FAO New York, the collaboration between Hasbro (figure body) and 3D Plus Me (head scanning) allows collectors to have their head scanned and placed on a 12" Hasbro Marvel action figure - Captain America or Iron Man - for as little as $59.99. Those attending the event got the opportunity to try out the exclusive service, so far limited to just the two Manhattan store locations. I'll let you know how my "Iron Jeff" figure comes out when it's mailed to me in the near future.
