One of our favorite booths to visit during San Diego Comic-Con is that of BifBangPow!, which exhibits in conjunction with Entertainment Earth. We got the skinny on what they're working on in the near future and long term, starting with the announcement this week that they've got the classic Flash Gordon announcement and will be making 3 3/4 inch figures! These will follow the trend of "retro" style figures you seen from this and other companies with film-inspired sculpts and five points of articulation. Speaking of retro, BifBangPow's new 3 3/4 inch Twilight Zone line began at Comic-Con with full color exclusives and the standard releases should be in stores in the coming months. In the booth display you can see figures from the upcoming second wave of six figures as well. Of course there are also tons of Twilight Zone novelties, full size Talky Tinas, and more.

Big Bang Theory continues to be another huge property for the company, and tons more figures are on the way both in the 8" retro line (next are the Renaissance Faire costumes and Star Trek uniforms) and the new 3 3/4 inch line. We first saw the latter at Toy Fair, with very cool packaging that opens up into diorama displays of the apartment set. BifBangPow is also partnering with Diamond Select Toys on a run of Big Bang Theory minimates featuring the main cast and additional versions of Sheldon.

Continuing with the 3 3/4 inch trend is the Venture Bros. with another SDCC exclusive Brock variant (bloody black shirt), and the SNL cartoon Ambiguously *** Duo also appeared in San Diego for the first time with an exclusive tin set with figures of Ace, Gary, and Bighead. The animation domination adds upcoming Adult Swim cartoon Mike Tyson Mysteries with an 8 inch retro Mike figure; the SDCC exclusive came with gloves and a jacket without a hood while the retail version will have a hooded jacket and no gloves. Also in 8" retro figures are the final two Six Million Dollar Man figures of astronaut Steve Austin and the Seven Million Dollar Man Barney Miller. Totally new and innovative for BifBangPow are upcoming nesting doll sets starting with Adventure Time, and most likely expanding into their other familiar properties. Also new are products from the new Showtime series Penny Dreadful. Those launched at SDCC with exclusive figures (later retail releases will have different outfits) and a very cool tarot card set directly from the show.
