Prizes Include a $500 Captain Action Shopping Spree...

Captain Action Enterprises, licensors of the popular Captain Action line, announce the launch of the Captain Action Custom Figure Contest. Fans are invited to customize 1:6th scale figures and send in photos. Six Finalists’ Creations will then compete at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con for prizes, including a $500 Captain Action Shopping Spree from Midtown Comics.
As the "Original Superhero Action Figure," Captain Action is all about customization, change and the power of imagination. Customizers are encouraged to send in photos of their best 1/6 scale customized superhero figures using Captain Action figures and/or parts. Fans can create costume sets/figures for existing heroes or new characters they have created.
All entries will be showcase online in the weeks leading up to the San Diego Comic-Con. At the Captain Action panel, judges and the audience will review the top six entries and choose one winner.
One Grand Prize winner will earn a $500 Captain Action Shopping Spree, courtesy of Midtown Comics. Five First Prize winners will win copies of Dynamite’s Codename: Action Trade Paperback, collecting the recent hit miniseries, courtesy of Dynamite Entertainment.
“We think this will be so much fun, and can’t wait to see our fans’ creativity”, said Joe Ahearn of Captain Action Enterprises. “And if any entrants are attending the show, they can also bring in their creations for a live review on-stage. We’ll simultaneously show their entries to the audience on the big screen.“
Judging will take place at the Comic-Con International Panel on Thursday, July 24th, 2014 (room and time details to be announced). Results will be reported online at CaptainAction.com subsequent to the live panel.
