Entertainment Weekly (http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/06/05/ghostbusters-rerelease/) reports that Ghostbusters - in celebration of its 30th anniversary - will return to more than 700 movie theaters on August 29. The 1984 film will be restored and remastered.

Continuing the celebration, a Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray, as well as the Ghostbusters II 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray will be available on September 16. It’s the first time the 1989 sequel has been released on Blu-ray, and special features include new conversations with director Ivan Reitman and Aykroyd, as well as deleted scenes from the sequel. A collectible limited edition gift set (pictured above) will also see release containing both Blu-ray versions of the movies plus an exclusive Slimer figurine.
