One of the most popular segments of LEGO these days capture the awesome superheroes from both DC and Marvel Comics, not to mention their films. 2014 has some very cool new sets in store for both collectors and kids in multiple sizes and types. At Toy Fair this year LEGO had some of them on display while in the Press Guide they revealed even more that we couldn't photograph. The DC side of things this year has a modest Batman collection with the currently available Man-Bat Attack and The Riddler Chase and upcoming Penguin Face Off (with Penguin bombs) and huge Joker Steam Roller (with Robin and Batgirl!), both coming in March!

The Marvel Super Heroes collection has a ton of sets on the way this year starting with five releases coming in March. The Avengers line has Captain America vs. Hydra with Red Skull in a big tank vehicle while Ultimate Spider-Man brings Spider-Trike vs. Electro, Doc Ock Truck Heist, and Spider-Helicopter Rescue. The big set that month is Hulk Lab Smash with MODOK! June brings an X-Men set with Blackbird, Wolverine, Storm, Magneto, and a Sentinel. Also coming in the summer are three Guardians of the Galaxy sets featuring the Nova Corps Starblaster spaceship and Nova Corps member, a battle scenario set with Gamora and a huge Groot, and the big $75 Milano hero spaceship with Star-Lord! Expect lots more news (and photos) of these as we get closer to release.
