From the movie The Dark Knight Rises comes the Sci-Fi Revoltech #050: The Bat Vehicle (Item Code: JAN142132, SRP: 49.99, page 487) from Kaiyodo. This newest addition to the Sci-Fi Revoltech line uses the "Revolver Joint," to recreate a variety of action poses from the film. The Bat measures 5 3/4" long and comes with a display stand. It also features a detachable cockpit canopy where a small Batman figure can be seated.
"Revoltech" is a portmanteau for "Revolver Technology," in reference to the unique "Revolver Joint" articulation which all of the figures in this particular series utilize. This gives the figures a wide range of motion and stability, allowing for many dynamic and varied poses.
“As brand manager for Import Toys, a longtime collector of Kaiyodo’s Revoltech releases, as well as a big fan of The Dark Knight Trilogy, I’ve personally been thrilled with Kaiyodo’s TDK Revoltech releases,” said Diamond’s Brand Manager Jesse Morgan. “ The Tumbler (DEC128196) and Bane’s Tumbler (JUL138238) hold court next to my Dark Knight Trilogy Blu-Ray set (MAY138408) in my living room. So when Kaiyodo told me last fall that they were considering releasing The Bat in the same scale, I got really stoked! It’s such a cool design, and I don’t think there’s a better toymaker or modelmaker than Kaiyodo to bring this vehicle to life. I’m proud that they’ve chose Diamond as their platform to debut these images to fans in North America.”
The Bat can be pre-ordered now from the January issue of PREVIEWS at local comic shops. Find a comic shop at comicshoplocator.com to ensure you get this unique Batman collectible when it comes out.
